Updates

Your receptionist only books when you're open

If you have saved your opening hours, callers are no longer offered a time outside them. The same goes for booking a time and for moving a booking.

More from October 2026

Your receptionist now treats your saved opening hours as a firm limit when she works with your diary.

What changed

  • Offering times. When a caller asks what is free, any time outside your opening hours is left out.
  • Booking. If a caller asks for a time outside your opening hours, nothing is booked. She tells the caller you are not open then and offers a time when you are.
  • Moving a booking. The same applies when a caller asks to move an appointment. If the new time is outside your opening hours, the appointment stays where it is.

This applies whichever diary or calendar your appointments are booked into.

If you have not saved opening hours

Nothing changes for you. Save your opening hours in your Business Profile and the limit applies from then on.

One thing to know

The limit uses your usual weekly opening hours. It does not yet know about one-off closures or special opening days.

For how your receptionist books on the phone, read booking appointments by phone.

Hear it answer a call from your business.
