Reaching a person

When a caller needs a person, they get one.

Some calls should never be handled by a machine: a complaint, a sensitive situation, a decision only you can make. What matters is what happens to those calls in the minutes before a person is free.

Example call

Without it

  1. 14:10A caller with a complaint rings while the manager is out.
  2. 14:10Voicemail, or a colleague who cannot help and says so.
  3. 14:11The caller hangs up more annoyed than when they rang.

A problem that got worse on the phone

With Ringar AI

  1. 14:10Answered. It recognises this needs a person.
  2. 14:10With a transfer number set, it puts the caller through.
  3. 14:11Without one, it takes the details and arranges a callback.

Put through, or a callback with the context

What handles this.

  • Transfers the call

You choose the number calls are put through to. When a caller needs a person, it hands the call over to that number, and takes a message or arranges a callback if it cannot.

  • Arranges the callback

When a caller needs a person, it captures who to ring, what about, and when suits them.

  • Takes the details

Name, number, what they need. Written down properly the first time.

Two ways to try it.

Reaching a person when it matters questions

Not seeing your question? Ask us directly on a demo.

Can it put a caller straight through to someone?

Yes, when you have set a transfer number. You choose the number calls are put through to. The assistant offers it when the caller asks for a person or the situation needs one. If the call cannot be put through, it takes a message or arranges a callback instead, and it never tells the caller someone is being put through when they are not.

How does it know which calls need a person?

You tell it, in plain English: the situations that should always reach a person. Anything it cannot resolve itself is treated the same way, and it says so to the caller rather than pressing on.

See it answer a call like this one.
