Ringar AI vs Hand On Web: what a big price gap actually buys

Hand On Web publishes three priced tiers, each with a one-off setup fee. Here is what the figures show, and where the higher price may still be the right call.

4 minute readMore on comparisons and buying guides

Hand On Web is a UK company selling an AI receptionist at a materially higher price point than Ringar AI, for a comparable published minute allowance. That makes it a genuinely useful comparison, precisely because the price gap is large enough to be worth explaining honestly. This piece uses only what each company publishes on its own site, read 28 September 2026. Prices change, so treat every figure here as a snapshot.

The short version

Both companies bill in pounds. Hand On Web is Hand On Web Ltd, registered at Riverside Innovation Centre, 1 Castle Dr, Chester CH1 1SL. Its three named tiers each carry a one-off setup fee on top of the monthly price, and a fourth, Enterprise, is unlimited and custom-priced. The price gap alone does not tell a buyer which service is right for them.

Ringar AI planMonthly priceMinutes included
Entry£60500
Lite£90900
Pro£3204,000
EnterpriseOn requestOn request

Ringar AI's Entry and Lite plans each include one phone number, and Pro includes three. Additional numbers are £5 a month each.

Hand On Web's three named tiers each carry a setup fee. One note for the buyer: Hand On Web's page also carries a summary row that reads "Setup Free", which contradicts the setup fees in its own table, so ask for the setup position in writing before you commit. Both companies list an Enterprise tier, and neither publishes a fixed price for it, so that tier cannot be compared on cost. The two tables above use only the figures each company states on its own site.

Where the two plans line up most closely

Two pairs compare like for like on published minutes.

Ringar AI's Entry plan (£60 a month, 500 minutes) sits against Hand On Web's Professional plan (£399 a month, 500 minutes, £399 one-off setup). For the same 500-minute allowance, Ringar AI is £339 a month cheaper, before any setup fee is counted at all.

Ringar AI's Lite plan (£90 a month, 900 minutes) sits against Hand On Web's Business plan (£699 a month, a thousand minutes, £499 one-off setup). Ringar AI is £609 a month cheaper for 100 fewer minutes.

Hand On Web's Starter plan (200 minutes) sits below Ringar AI's smallest allowance, and Ringar AI's Pro plan (4,000 minutes) has no Hand On Web plan at a similar allowance. Only the two pairs above compare like for like on published minutes.

Where Hand On Web is genuinely stronger

  • A 30-day money-back guarantee, stated plainly on its page.
  • No minimum contract, also stated plainly.
  • UK-based support on both sides.
  • An Enterprise tier with unlimited minutes, for a business whose call volume would outgrow any published Ringar AI plan, with no fixed price to compare.

The published facts do not say why Hand On Web costs more, only that it does. A money-back guarantee and UK support are real reassurances, and worth something. They are also the kind of reassurance a business needs most when it isn't confident the service will work, and at several hundred pounds a month more for the same minute allowance, that is an expensive way to buy confidence.

Where Ringar AI's plans differ

  • Set up in minutes. Answer a few questions about your business during sign-up and you get a UK phone number that already knows your business and can answer callers' questions straight away.
  • A lower published price for the same minute allowance at both tiers compared above.
  • Booking with real availability checked during the call, where a calendar is connected.
  • Answers drawn from the information the business has given it, and it takes the caller's name, number and what they need.
  • A written record in the dashboard of what was said and what came of it.

For the same published minute allowance, Ringar AI costs several hundred pounds a month less than Hand On Web, before its setup fee is even counted, and its own page carries a contradiction worth asking Hand On Web to clear up directly: a "Setup Free" summary line sitting above a table that lists setup fees on every named tier. A large price gap this size needs a large, clearly stated reason. Hand On Web's page does not give one, so the burden is on it to explain what the extra cost buys before a buyer pays it.

What neither company's site tells you

Hand On Web's page, as read, gave no published overage rate. Ringar AI's trial is a UK phone number and 50 minutes to try the system, its plans are monthly, and each plan shows a concurrent-call figure. Ask both companies directly. If you are weighing Hand On Web, ask specifically what its higher price includes beyond the published minute allowance. A pricing page describes a plan, not the calls behind it.

How to actually decide

A comparison table shows what is published. It does not show how either service handles your business's actual calls, and price alone does not tell you which one is right for your business. The honest next step is to hear it: ring the demonstration line on the homepage, or book a twenty-minute call to run through a real example from your business.

Questions this raises

Not seeing your question? Ask us directly on a demo.

Why does Hand On Web cost so much more than Ringar AI for a similar minute allowance?

Its published pricing page does not say, and its own page carries a contradiction worth asking about directly: a "Setup Free" summary line above a table that lists a setup fee on every named tier. A gap of several hundred pounds a month for the same allowance needs a clear reason, and the facts published here don't supply one.

Is Ringar AI cheaper than Hand On Web?

Yes, at every tier where a like-for-like minute allowance exists to compare. Hand On Web also charges a one-off setup fee on each of its three named tiers, which widens the first-month gap.

Does Hand On Web have an unlimited plan?

Yes, Enterprise, custom-priced with unlimited minutes. Ringar AI's own Enterprise tier is also on request, so neither is publicly priced to compare.

Hear it answer a call from your business.
