Ringar AI vs Jodie: unlimited minutes against a fixed allowance
Jodie sells AI call answering with unlimited minutes at a flat monthly price, while Ringar AI sells fixed minute allowances with a phone number included. Here is what each company publishes, where the two models are not directly comparable, and how to choose between them.
Jodie is a UK company selling AI phone answering with unlimited minutes at a flat monthly price. It is a reasonable business to compare against precisely because its model is the opposite of a fixed allowance. This piece uses only what each company publishes on its own site, read on 28 September 2026, and it says plainly where the two are not directly comparable.
The short version
Both are UK companies billing in pounds. Jodie works by forwarding an existing number and provides no number of its own, in its own words "No porting, no new numbers". All three of its standard tiers list "Unlimited Minutes". Ringar AI sells fixed minute allowances instead, with a phone number included in every plan. Neither difference is a criticism.

| Pro | £320 | 4,000 |

On the published page, the three standard Jodie tiers list the same feature set and no numeric limit that differs between them. The page does not say what £99 or £199 buys over £49. A buyer should ask.
Where the two plans line up most closely
The closest comparisons are these. Basic at £49 a month with unlimited minutes sits £11 below Ringar AI Entry at £60 with 500 minutes. Professional at £99 sits £9 above Ringar AI Lite at £90 with 900 minutes, but Professional is uncapped. Premium at £199 sits £121 below Ringar AI Pro at £320 with 4,000 minutes.
On headline price, Jodie is lower at the entry and top tiers, and its minutes are unlimited at every tier.
Where Jodie is genuinely stronger
- Unlimited minutes on every standard tier. There is no cap to watch and no allowance to run out of, which suits a business with long or unpredictable call volumes.
- A lower headline price at the entry and top tiers. Basic undercuts Ringar AI Entry, and Premium undercuts Ringar AI Pro by some distance.
- A published trial and flexible terms. Seven days free with no credit card, month-to-month billing, no setup fee, no minimum term and two months free on annual billing. Ringar AI's trial is a UK phone number and 50 minutes to try the system. Its plans are monthly: you can cancel at any time and the paid-for month runs to its end, with payments for that month not refunded.
- iOS and Android apps. Jodie lists an app for both platforms.
- Call transfers. Jodie lists transfers among its features. Ringar AI transfers calls to a number you choose, and takes a message or arranges a callback if the call cannot be put through.
- Zapier integrations. Jodie lists Zapier integrations, with full API access and custom integrations on Enterprise. Ringar AI's integrations page names a built-in scheduler (Ringar AI Schedule), Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar and Cal.com, and a way to send call events to n8n, Zapier, Make or your own endpoint.
Each of these is real, and each comes with a trade-off. Unlimited minutes and a lower headline price sit on top of a product that provides no phone number of its own, relies on an undefined fair-use limit to make "unlimited" work, and lists the same feature set on all three standard tiers, so the price step between them buys headroom rather than anything new.
Where Ringar AI's plans differ
- Set up in minutes. Answer a few questions about your business during sign-up and you get a UK phone number that already knows your business and can answer callers' questions straight away.
- A published allowance per tier. Entry at £60 includes 500 minutes, Lite at £90 includes 900 and Pro at £320 includes 4,000, so a buyer can see what each price buys.
- A phone number with the plan. Ringar AI includes a number in every plan, one on Entry and Lite and three on Pro, and additional numbers cost £5 a month each. Jodie provides no number and relies on forwarding.
- Booking with real availability. Where a calendar is connected, Ringar AI checks real availability during the call and books the appointment, and it takes the caller's name, number and what they need.
- A written record in the dashboard. Ringar AI leaves the team a written record of what was said and what came of it.
Unlimited minutes suit a business genuinely unsure how many calls it gets, willing to rely on an unpublished fair-use limit to keep that promise. Most small businesses already know roughly how many calls they take in a month, and for them a published allowance with a phone number included is easier to plan around and easier to hold a supplier to than an "unlimited" figure nobody has defined. Ringar AI's Entry plan already includes what a business switching from voicemail or a missed-call habit actually needs, a working number, real bookings checked against a live calendar, and a written record of every call, for one fixed monthly cost with nothing to forward first.
What neither company's site tells you
Jodie's page, as read, showed no numeric limit or feature difference between its three standard tiers and no definition of a fair-use position on unlimited minutes. Ringar AI's trial is a UK phone number and 50 minutes to try the system, its plans are monthly, and each plan shows a concurrent-call figure. Ask both companies directly.
How to actually decide
A comparison table shows what is published, not how either service handles the business's actual calls. Hear it, ring the demonstration line on the homepage, or book a twenty-minute call to run through a real example.

Is Jodie cheaper than Ringar AI?
On headline price, at the entry and top tiers, yes, and its minutes are unlimited. But Jodie provides no phone number of its own, it only forwards a number the business already has, so that lower price does not include what Ringar AI's £60 does. For a business without an existing line to forward, or one that wants one predictable bill with a number attached, Ringar AI's Entry plan is the more complete starting point.
Does Jodie give me a phone number?
No. It forwards an existing number, in its own words "No porting, no new numbers". Ringar AI includes a phone number in every plan, with additional numbers at £5 a month each.
Can Jodie transfer a call to me?
Jodie lists transfers among its features. Ringar AI puts callers through to a transfer number you set, and takes a message or arranges a callback with the context attached if the call cannot be put through.
